Restore the natural look and strength of your teeth.
Dental fillings are one of the most common treatments we provide, designed to repair damage, protect against decay, and stop infection before it leads to more serious dental work. We use composite resin that is colour matched to blend with your tooth for a seamless finish. Unlike metal fillings, composite resin bonds tightly to the tooth and can be placed in smaller areas, which means less drilling and more of your healthy tooth preserved.
Why are fillings important?
It can be tempting to delay a filling, especially if your tooth doesn’t hurt yet. Cavities don’t heal on their own, and early treatment protects both comfort and long-term oral health. Filling a cavity right away helps keep your teeth strong and your smile healthy. Here’s how fillings make a difference:
- Stop cavities from growing deeper into the tooth.
- Prevent painful infections and abscesses.
- Restore the tooth’s strength and function.
- Save money by avoiding more complex procedures later.
- Reduce sensitivity to hot, cold, or sweet foods.
- Preserve your natural teeth and smile for as long as possible.
How is a cavity filled?
Gentle Freezing
To keep you comfortable, we begin by carefully numbing your gums and gently freezing the area. Many patients feel nervous about this step, but with proper freezing and the option of sedation, you’ll hardly feel a thing during treatment.
Filling the Tooth
Once you’re completely comfortable, the cavity is cleaned and prepared. An adhesive gel is applied to the tooth, and a composite resin is carefully shaped to match your bite and natural contours.
Curing the Composite
The resin is then hardened using a special LED light. Dr. Faisal Waseem will examine the tooth, make any final adjustments, and polish it for a smooth, natural finish.

During this visit, we will carefully examine your teeth, gums, soft tissues, and the overall function of your bite. Our goal is to understand how your entire mouth looks and works together. Before creating a treatment plan, we take the time to learn about both the health and appearance of your smile, and most importantly, your personal goals so we can design the right care to help you achieve them.
