She is very professional, thorough and pleasant to chat with! She goes above and beyond to explain my Xrays, give me suggestions on dental care for myself and the rest of my family. Haley at the front desk is so lovely & courteous. Dr. Faisal is also great and easy going. The staff makes our dental appointments so easy. This was my first time here. I needed a dentist close to my town that does work under anesthesia for kids as noth my son's need work done. I heard great things from a dental office in my town which is half of the reason I chose them the other was distance. They didn't disappoint from the receptionist, the technician to the dentist they were all very nice. They worked well with my son and I'm looking forward to see how well they do with my other son who is autistic. Great job 👍🏻

What to Expect During Maxillofacial Surgery

Maxillofacial surgery is most commonly used for corrective treatment and cosmetic procedures. The specifics of your maxillofacial surgical procedure largely depend on the kind of treatment you require. Operations can range from outpatient procedures to more involved treatment requiring several trips to the office to complete.

With most oral surgery, you can expect some or all of the following post-operation:

  • Minor bleeding
  • Sorness
  • Bruising
  • Swelling
  • Sensitivity
  • Residual numbness from anesthetics
  • Grogginess (if sedated)

To ensure a swift recovery without any unforeseen complications, our doctors will provide you with a complete aftercare plan to follow along with at home. Depending on the procedure, your maxillofacial surgeon may also schedule a follow-up appointment to make sure your recovery is going according to plan.

Contact our office right away with any questions or concerns, especially if you experience any of the following conditions:

  • Dry socket
  • Excessive bleeding
  • Excessive pain, swelling, or bad odor (signs of possible infection)
